Resizing Images In Adobe Photoshop for the 88 88 ArtLook website
Whenever possible, it is best to start out with an original uncompressed image file that is at minimum no less than 5 inches wide or 1500 pixels wide after cropping, adjusting contrast, adjusting color, etc. You will be formatting the image file to meet the 888-8Artlook image specification size by following the steps below.
A high-resolution JPEG file works well if you cannot begin the imaging process with a RAW or TIFF file.
88 88 ArtLook image requirements:
(no larger than 200W) x (not to exceed 400H pixels), saved as JPEG & less than 1MB.
Step 1 Open the file in Adobe Photoshop. (If you have a different photo editor use these general guidelines)
Step 2 Go to Image – Image Size to open the Image Size dialogue box.
A set Resolution to 72 pixels/inch; located under Document Size:
B set the Width to 200 pixels; located under Pixel Dimension: Click OK
Step 3 Go to File - Save for Web to open the Save for Web dialogue box.
A make sure the Setting is JPEG
B quality should be at Maximum – 100 is best or no less than 70. Click Save
Step 4 Save image as JPEG in a folder/location that is easy to find on your computer.
A (label), artist or tour number, first name . last name .jpeg
B (example): 0001AnnetteColeman.jpeg
C (note: all labels are in upper and lower case all squished together)
Step 5 Email your image to: annette@8888ArtLook.com
Step 6 Include this information:
Full name, tour number or artist number in the subject line.
